PERSONAL STATEMENT
I am an enthusiastic and hard working individual looking for the first step into a career.  I enjoy meeting new people and working in teams, and I am able to get on confidently with tasks within different working environments.  Although my work experience has been limited to date, I am actively looking for work with a view to applying the skills and knowledge that I have gained so far in my next role.
PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE
2011: ICAP, London
I spent two weeks gaining work experience on a commodities desk at ICAP – an internationally renowned brokerage firm.  My main duties during that time included assisting the desk with their duties such as finding out problems and resolving those problems. on both the commodities desk, and I was also able to spend some time in the IT department carrying out duties such as finding the problems with the computers logged, then fixing the problem as quick as possible.  Working in such a professional environment was really enjoyable, especially the IT department which, given my educational background, was particularly interesting to me.
2009: Milbarn Construction (Building Services)
Working with a local building firm, I experienced first hand the different aspects of the building trade including learning about house extension work; gaining practical skills in labouring, electrics, plumbing and brickwork; and interacting directly with customers.
2007: Desk Assistant for the Commodities Division, Bear Stearns International Ltd, London
Duties included producing written and presentational documents on Microsoft Word, PowerPoint & Excel, as well as administrative activities such as photo copying, faxing and messenger deliveries for the desk.  I was also trained on some of the broking and trading aspects of both the Bloomberg and Reuter’s information systems.
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS
I have recently sat and passed English and Maths assessment to get a placement  for an apprenticeship programme, this test was held by a company called Training Trust.
